As I suspected, Kenneth has not agreed to meet with me. At least that’s my assumption since he hasn’t replied at all to the text Brynn sent from my phone asking. I’m pretty sure he’s just being petty and ignoring me like I ignored him for a while.

Oh well, he’s not the one who has been on my mind anyway. Jared and I have continued to talk constantly, but our once innocent conversations now have a flirty and sexual edge to them. The worst part of this is not being able to see him as often as I would like. It hasn’t even been a week and I’m dying for him again which is only made worse by the fact that I have no idea when I’ll get to see him.

I’m on the plane heading to Dallas for my next show tomorrow night. My whole team including the band are here as well, but my manager, Laura, is going over my schedule with me.

“And after the show tomorrow you have an interview set up,” she explains.

“After? No, I don’t do press after shows. I’m too tired, sweaty, and gross.”

“It’s not a visual interview and this is the only time you have.”

I scrunch my face, still not happy with the idea. I barely want to talk to people I like to be around after a show, let alone do an interview. “Ten minutes max, then I get to go back to the hotel for the night.”

“That’s fine,” she agrees and I’m a little surprised. Laura isn’t a hard ass per se, but I can admittedly be a little difficult when it comes to certain press tasks, so she and Brynn tend to have their work cut out for them.

I love what I do. I love performing and meeting fans. I just don’t love talking about myself in interviews. I do my sharing about who I am through my music, and I just wish that could be enough. Of course, every interviewer is provided with a “don’t ask” list for my hard no topics.

Though, there has been a time or two when that list has been ignored which leads to an extremely awkward time for both me and them.

Once we land, I text Jared just like I told him I would.

Spencer: Just landed in Dallas. Wish you were here with me.
